Which do you prefer?
Audi A6
Acura TLX
BMW 5 Series
Cadillac CTS
Lexus GS
Mercedes E Class
Volvo S90
I think these are all roughly in the same segment? I’m not sure though.....anyways. I’d have a hard time choosing between the her, and the Volvo. I think I’d take the Volvo though....it just looks so freaking good.

I’ve made my choice:
But honestly, I think an e39 540 beats the brakes off of all the new ones.

Cadillac.

TLX is more on the level with C-Class and 3 Series. The RLX is what is supposed to “compete” with these ones.

I always believed the A6 was the best and most boring in this segment.
That being said, with how my parents are, the GS is the one we’d have the biggest chance owning and the CTS is my personal favorite on the list.
There’s too many E-Classes around where I live to love it. I feel all Oppos like special cars, and a lease-special for realtors especially with how many there are in Southern California makes it more annoying than Camrys.

Jag, though Caddy as soon as the interior is refreshed. My goodness the E-class interior looks so old compared to everyone else. The GS looks like a spaceship with an analog clock by comparison.
I do think the Ghibli is nice, despite everything.

Isn’t the S90 a class higher? Like 7-series/A8 competitor?
Anyways, I’ll take the Caddy.

I like the looks of them all. I would have to drive them to make a choice. I doubt they all drive the same.

When I worked as a valet for a couple years I drove these types of cars a lot and the one thing that always stood out to me was the heavy steering in the BMWs. I really really liked it and if given one to drive daily I’d go Bimmer.

BM, Merc or Volvo for me. I currently have a seething hate of Audis (even though I track one. Details elsewhere).
The Lexus and Cadillac (especially the Lexus) have interiors that are ergonomically sub par (just look at that GS. Ick.)
The Merc and BM are the most normal in terms of interior layout. I could deal with the Volvo though.

One of the better choices in the segment. Of the ones presented, I’d go Merc or BM, but the Jag is likely where is end up, were it my actual money.

The A6 times a million.
The Mercedes is dreadfully boring, the Lexus is hideous, I hate the styling of the Cadillac, the BMW is dated and the Maserati is kinda meh. It would be my second choice though.

Lexus

Man, that’s a tough one. I’d probably go with Wobbles’ suggestion and the Jaguar XF, but since that isn’t an option on this list...Lexus GS 350 F-Sport. With the Volvo a very close second.

Bimmer all day long!

I’m gonna have to go Swedish/Chinese on this one. The Volvo for me. Runner up would be the Lexus only because of its unsurpassed reliability.

If you’re mostly highway and occasional back-road with little to no interest in track days, the Lexus has two distinct advantages, it’s butter-smoothness is still more sporting than the Acura, and it’s equally reliable, meaning more reliable than any of the others.
It’s drawbacks are its looks, but when you’re inside it, you don’t have to look at it. Haha.

XF.

Oh right, Jaguar. i did this really late and knew I was forgetting several cars. God the jags interior looks good

It’s only not an option because I forgot about Jag and Maserati...I also forgot about Lincoln, but they honestly don’t count.
Oh I forgot about Infiniti too
![]() 12/03/2015 at 10:17 |

Oh, do they just not have a full-size competitor?
![]() 12/03/2015 at 10:18 |

Maybe, on the fp they said it was F10 5 Series sized, so I assumed that segment
![]() 12/03/2015 at 10:22 |

I also like the Vo.

Oh, I missed that. You’re probably right then.

While I had a E550 and while I loved it, I loved my father in law’s 550xi more. The E just feels a touch bigger than I think it actually is and I’d like. I love Audi’s, on our third now, but really for styling the BMW takes it. So I’d have to say:
1- BMW 5, it’s always been my favorite BMW series
2 (tie)-Audi A6 or Volvo depending on seeing in person and testing it rou
4- Merc E
5- Lexus GS
6- Caddie
7- if it’s anything like it’s RLX brother, the TLX goes here.
*I reserve the right to reorder numbers 4-7 at any time for no reason whatsoever

It has the proportions of a full-size, but I really like the idea of that design, but the size of a 5 series

That's pretty much the way I feel too. I know I said I'd take the Volvo, but I saw a 550i today and was reminded of how great they look in person. I definitely want to see the new S90 though
![]() 12/03/2015 at 15:37 |

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t interested in the Volvos.

It’s a very good looking car. I wish that I would be able to afford a V90 when it comes out ... but I’m not even in the ball park.
![]() 12/03/2015 at 18:35 |

I'm in the same boat....maybe one day when they're used, if they hold up well
![]() 12/03/2015 at 19:18 |

I’m not a big fan of this segment, but if I were to pick, I’d choose the Lexus GS or the Acura TLX (because value).

Oooh...I love all of them but the Acura. Sorry Acura.
